The food bank serves our local community by helping people with food parcels who find themselves in hardship. The individuals who are given parcels are referred by various agencies who verify that their need is genuine. A voucher is issued which entiltes them to a parcel that provides enough food to last three days. Often the help needed is not long term, but is of an emergency nature.

There is a list of the type of non-perishable goods that are most needed attached to the collection box in the church porch, and there are also lists pinned to the parish notice boards in the church porch, outside the church hall and in the vestibule of the hall. In addition, there are small handout lists in the church porch available to take away.
